Leave a gift in your Will
And keep helping generations of New Zealanders“Released from the gloom. We’re able to be the people we want to be” — Alan & Delwyn
Imagine if all New Zealanders in need could receive free practical support, and encounter the transforming love of Jesus – through you, CAP and the local church.
Adding a gift to CAP in your Will means…
-
-
- You ensure the values you hold today benefit New Zealand families of tomorrow
- You’re building towards a future where CAP’s services are freely available, in every city, town and suburb across New Zealand
- You’ll provide families struggling in debt and money chaos with help and hope —and a chance to live life to its fullest
- You’ll join a special group of caring supporters, known as Tomorrow Donors.

It can take as little as 20 minutes to complete your Will and ensure your wishes are honoured and your loved ones are taken care of. After family and friends, please consider including Christians Against Poverty New Zealand in your Will.
Your gift, no matter how large or small, will make a life-transforming difference for future generations of New Zealanders.
“CAP supporters are a lifeline. They’ve taken a lot of weight. Turned our lives around completely.” — Alan & Delwyn
Suggested ‘Gift in Will’ wording
Most of CAP’s Tomorrow Donors choose to leave a residual legacy. These gifts hold their value regardless of inflation and allow you to cover loved ones’ needs first.
Here is some suggested wording you may wish to share with your solicitor – including options for the different types of gift you may choose to leave:
“I give to Christians Against Poverty (CC22369)
-
-
-
- [insert number] % of the residue of my estate or
- [insert number] % of my estate, or
- the sum of $ [insert amount], and/or
- property or assets as follows [insert details]
For its general purposes, and I declare that this gift free of all charges and duties to Christians Against Poverty, PO Box 12041, Penrose, Auckland for its general purposes and declare that the official receipt of the Chief Executive or other authorised officer of Christians Against Poverty NZ shall be full and sufficient discharge to my Executor for all moneys paid under this gift.”
